SALVĒTE
I am excited to be joining you on this journey. Below is an explanation about what each week and day will look like when you join me daily for Latin.
Each Week is divided into 4 days. When you click on each day, you will see a short explanation about that day's focus followed by 5 sections titled: Watch, Read, Memorize, Study, Do. See below for a description about each section.
Nota Bene: Make sure to CLICK the completed box in the bottom right once you have finished that days videos and exercises.
WATCH: Here you will find a short video to watch. Generally this will be less than 12 minutes, but in the beginning they may run a bit longer to get up to speed with all of the new information.
READ: Pages being referred to from the Henle text that can be read to review the concept for that day.
MEMORIZE: Here you will have a short video introducing the newest vocabulary and we will walk through highlighting it in the ZTL Resource Notebook.
STUDY: Here you will find the grammar rule numbers that are referenced from the Grammar Blue Book that are being focused on that day or week.
DO: I will assign exercises to be completed each day. There will be a short video for each of the exercises, giving an example on how to do each one.
GETTING STARTED
Below is all the information you will need to prepare for your first week of lessons. The videos will help you get your resources and texts prepared for the first day of class. If you are new to Zoom Thru Latin, make sure to take the time to highlight your Henle 1 text. The tabbing video will give you suggestions, but tabbing often depends on what works best for you.

WEEK 1 - 1ST DECLENSION NOUNS (LESSON 1)
We will take 2 weeks to cover nouns from first declension.
WEEK 2 - 1ST DECLENSION NOUNS (LESSON 1 CONT.)
WEEK 3 - 2ND DECLENSION NOUNS (LESSON 2)
WEEK 4 - 2ND DECLENSION NOUNS (LESSON 2 CONT.)
WEEK 5 - 3RD DECLENSION NOUNS LIKE LĒX (LESSON 3)
WEEK 6 - 3RD DECLENSION NOUNS LIKE PARS & FLUMEN (L. 3 CONT.)
WEEK 7 - 3RD DECLENSION REVIEW & 4TH DECLENSION NOUNS (LESSON 3 & 4)
WEEK 8 - 4TH DECLENSION, 5TH DECLENSION & SPECIAL NOUNS (LESSONS 4, 5, & 6)
WEEK 9 - NOUNS IN REVIEW (LESSONS 1-6)
This week will be spend reviewing the special nouns introduced last week. We will also spend time reviewing nouns and concepts introduced from all six lessons.
WEEK 10 - 1ST/2ND DECLENSION ADJECTIVES (LESSON 7)
WEEK 11 - PREDICATE ADJECTIVES (LESSON 7 CONT.)
WEEK 12 - THIRD DECLENSION ADJECTIVES (LESSON 8)
WEEK 13 - 1ST CONJUGATION VERBS: PRESENT TENSE (LESSON 9)
WEEK 14 - 1ST CONJUGATION VERBS (LESSON 9 CONT.)
This week you will be using the new verb knowledge you learned last week. Take the time to do all of the exercises. You are laying the foundation for moving forward and learning about the other verb conjugations. Doing all of the exercises will also strengthen your vocabulary knowledge.
WEEK 15 - REVIEW
Let's review all that we now about nouns. Next semester we will continue our journey with verbs and build upon what we have studied these last two weeks.
